My Tortured Moly

I had a nice ink drawing of an anatomical heart that I messed up. Then I decided to cover it up with a tonne of solid gouache. It didn't look good, so I wiped it off with a wet sponge.

I took a weekend break from my maddening moly and saw the most beautiful movie, The Fall. If any of you haven't seen it, you should— I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Anyhow, I remembered something from my childhood that I wanted to draw, and now my warped and wrinkly moly has a purpose. This is the first "layer", if you will. I thought I'd share the process of this entry that began so frustratingly. Hopefully it'll all work out in the end.

Sza,

I'm telling you, I have the fix. I screwed up the very same amount of moly. I cut it, overlapped it, spray mounted it. All better! I should draw a "how-to" picture for you. Also, the iron works great for taking the wrinkles out.

Nice color. How do you get guoache to stick to this paper?

Hey Marty.

I layer the gouache on thickly, then is seems to stick. I'm going to see what I can do with this before I try any surgery. I think I might just be able to save it! Some strange and interesting textures are happening.

But I would love a "how-to" book surgery drawing just in case!

Szaza!

I can understand you! I'm simple not touching my book, becase I'm afraid to spoil it! Don't run to cut it - sometimes "bad" start borns great effects that you didn't get on purpose.

Thanks for recommendation about the movie - looks interesting.

yes, sometimes gouache kind of has... well the paper has some resistance to gouache. I just love this so far though, it is very subtle, unlike mine sitting on my desk...
